No industry on the planet is more vilified or misunderstood than Oil & Gas. Bad operators and accidents like Macondo certainly don’t help in communicating the many ways in which Industry serves mankind.

The problem is that busy citizens (who are not geoscientists and don’t work in industry) will do their ‘research’ with such tools. Unverified issues become fact and a bias soon forms in the mind. Subsequent appeals to intellectual honesty – hit the brick walls of fear & misinformation.

Their minds are already made up. The infographic did its job.
